It is committed to equipping students with advanced skills and in-depth knowledge while strengthening its research and development capacity. To advance University Social Responsibility (USR), the University actively builds ongoing partnerships with other organizations and gives back to society.
To strengthen awareness of sustainable investment, responsible investment, and asset management in Taiwan, Amundi and National Chung Cheng University jointly established the National Chung Cheng University College of Management Amundi Sustainable Investment Research Center in August 2021. Drawing on the University's research strengths, the Center conducts in-depth studies on sustainable investment, responsible investment, asset management, and related topics. It also organizes sustainability-focused activities such as sustainable investment seminars and forums, offers scholarships and internships, supports sustainable investment proposals, and recruits research assistants each year to help promote research in sustainable investment.
The CCU—Amundi Sustainable Investment Research Center (ASIRC) focuses on sustainable investment, responsible investment, and asset management and is committed to connecting academic research with industry practice. Through research partnerships, scholarships, internships, practitioner lectures, and research competitions, the Center develops young professionals with a sustainability mindset and strong financial expertise.
1. Build a Platform for Sustainable Investment Research and Industry–Academia Collaboration
The Center advances academic research and industry–academia collaboration in ESG, sustainable investment, responsible investment, asset management, and related areas. By bringing together scholars and industry experts from within and beyond the University, it helps connect research findings with financial market practice.
2. Outstanding Student Scholarships
The Center offers the Outstanding Student Scholarship to encourage students who are interested in ESG, sustainable investment, and asset management to continue learning and conducting research in these areas. Through steady financial support, the scholarship helps develop young talent with strong research potential and a sustainability perspective.
3. Internships and Talent Development in Asset Management
The Center partners with Amundi to offer internship opportunities that introduce students to the asset management industry. Guided by industry mentors, interns take part in hands-on work and present their results, building financial expertise and practical workplace skills.
4. Sustainable Investment Case Studies and Competitions
The Center holds a case study competition on the sustainability reports of leading Taiwanese companies, encouraging students to examine corporate sustainability strategies and real-world results. Participants assess corporate value from a sustainable investor's perspective, strengthening their data analysis, critical thinking, and presentation skills.
5. ESG Practice Lectures and Professional Forums
The Center regularly invites professionals from the financial sector, sustainability consultants, and corporate representatives to share ESG trends and practical experience. Through lectures and ESG forums, students gain a clearer understanding of responsible investment, sustainability reporting, the circular economy, corporate sustainability strategy, and related topics.
6. ESG Education and Sustainability Outreach
Through its official website, social media, and educational activities, the Center shares knowledge about ESG and sustainable investment and provides the latest information on events and ways to participate. We hope to deepen awareness of sustainable finance on campus and in the wider community and inspire more young people to take part in sustainable development.
The Center brings together experts from academia and industry to serve on its Advisory Committee. Members are divided into an Academic Group and an Industry Group and provide professional guidance on sustainable governance, ESG, risk management, knowledge management, carbon management, and related areas. Members in each group are listedby the stroke count of their Chinese surnames, from fewest to most。
